blaiva Editorial Team · November 2, 2026

Twice a day, blaiva finds newly published AI BL videos and adds them to its list. Breaking down the 2,654 BL videos on the list as of November 2, 2026, shows where AI BL is being made right now, how long it runs, and which genres it favors. The numbers below are limited to the blaiva list and do not represent the whole market.

YouTube is still the center, but one in four videos comes from TikTok. Most TikTok and Instagram works are vertical videos of around one minute, and it's common to see a work become known through short-form first, then have its longer main episode uploaded to YouTube.

How Long It Runs: Length

LengthVideos
1 minute or less280
1–10 minutes1,034
10–30 minutes252
30 minutes or more140

Among videos with length information, 1–10 minutes is the most common. It's a length that fits a character introduction and one event in a single episode, and it seems to have become the basic unit of series. Most videos over 30 minutes are full-length compilations that bundle several episodes together.

What It Depicts: Genre Tags

Counting the genre tags blaiva assigned based on video descriptions (a single video can have several), the order is romance with 2,573 videos, drama with 724, fantasy with 162, historical drama with 161, music with 121, slice of life with 93, mystery with 88, comedy with 67, thriller with 47, and sci-fi with 37. Romance being attached to nearly everything is natural given the nature of the BL genre, and it's notable that fantasy and historical drama follow at a similar scale. The advantage of being able to create settings that are hard to film in real life with AI also shows up in genre choices.

What It's Made With: Production Tools

Only some videos have tools that can be confirmed from the description or elsewhere. Among those, the music generation tool Suno (45 videos), the video generation tools Seedance (43 videos) and Higgsfield (26 videos), the editing tool CapCut (13 videos), and the video generation tool Kling (12 videos) appear frequently. Most videos don't disclose their tools, so it's hard to say anything about each tool's market share from these numbers.

The numbers in this article are based on the blaiva list as of November 2, 2026, and the list changes twice a day. We did not use any values derived from YouTube metrics such as view counts.
